The other day I was talking about making “Boom Boom”..
This could go many ways…
BUT… it is really just a pasta salad…
NOT EVEN just a pasta salad… the BEST EVER PASTA SALAD

A little History about the salad…
This salad actually started as a sandwich introduced to me by my love bug himself. I remember the first summer that I met him he was talking about this wonderful french sandwich that his grandma-ma grew up eating and then eventually he grew up eating. This sandwich is layered in a Bread Bowl after you take all the insides out. You layer…
Salame…red onions..green peppers…red peppers…olives…cucumbers…radishes…hard boiled eggs….olive oil..salt…pepper and garlic!

This was one of the many times we have eaten this sandwich! 🙂

So… you may be wondering…
Why would you NOT eat a sandwich all the time and eat a pasta salad instead…
**When you have a REALLY big family and want to bring it to a potluck**
That is when I decided to do a little testing!!
Pasta instead of Bread…
Smaller chunks of the veggies and salame..
Dressing with garlic.. olive oil..salt and pepper… (and lemon juice)
and you get the BEST pasta salad ever!!
Boom Boom Pasta Salad
**Make dressing FIRST**
1/2 – 3/4 lb Salame
1 Green Pepper
1 Red Pepper
1/2 Red Onion
1 – 2 bunches radishes
1 Can Black Olives
3-4 hard boiled eggs for on top
**All of the above chopped into cm x cm pieces**
1 cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese
1 box of any mini pasta (elbows,shells etc.)
**Cook Pasta as stated on Box**
Toss all of the ingredients in a bowl together!
3/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup Lemon Juice
1 tsp salt
1 tsp Pepper
2 TBSP garlic (2 cloves)
**Let sit for about 1/2 hour before dumping over salad**
And THAT my friends… is the pasta salad…
that I usually keep as a family recipe…
