MY SUNDAY MORNING BREAKFAST!!!
So I was thinking about my delicious breakfast that I had this past sunday and how I didn’t share it with you! It consisted of my favorite pancake/waffle batter ever!!
It goes like this….
Breakfast Batter
- Bisquick – (You can get a
really bigHUGE box at Costco.) - Almond Milk (1:1 ratio with O.J)
- Orange Juice
- 1 tsp. Vanilla extract
- Dash of cinnamon
- 2 TBSP of flax –>
- 2 TBSP of wheat germ —-> ALL of these three can be added or even just one, it doesn’t matter!
- 1 TBSP of chia –>
- ANY fruit, nut, chip etc. of choice
Combine about 1-2 cups of bisquick with berries (if you are putting them in) then, add the almond milk and o.j. You just want to continue to add both liquids until you get a good pancake batter consistency. (If you are making waffles, you may want it to be a little thicker)
Then you add in the vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nuts/chips.
Spray your pan and dump in your batter.
This recipe makes really delicious fluffy pancakes.
I cut up a banana and layered in in between my two cakes with a little rhubarb/strawberry jam. Top with syrup and enjoy!

With bisquick, you can play around with the batter so much. You can also make biscuits with this batter, you just add alot less liquid so they are just a little sticky. You can bake those at 450 degrees for about 12-15 minutes (or until golden brown)

What do you like for your weekend breakfasts?

i eat oats EVERY DAY!
and if i was going to switch it up, it would totally be for a more savory breakfast of a huge veggie omelette and bacon…
love your stuffed pancakes. they always look so tasty to me, but i hate ordering them in restaurants when they’re stuffed with cream cheese and stuff like that. fruit in the middle is a great option!
Thanks Lindsay! I agree.. I wont dare get near those pancakes at restaurants! They are usually overly stuffed anyways!
Glad you checked out my blog!
